It's time for our annual night fly. We'll gather before dark and fly into the night. Spectators welcome!
3:30 pm: Football and chili
7:00 pm: Raffle (postponed from summer picnic)
Dusk - 10:00 pm: Fly your lighted airplanes
Due to a rained out Saturday, we moved our picnic to Sunday. A smaller group enjoyed a wonderful afternoon of good food, great company, and some fun flights!
The field opening is our annual kickoff to the flying season, bringing members together to prepare the field for safe and enjoyable operations throughout the year. Volunteers help with tasks such as setting up equipment, inspecting the flying area, completing light maintenance, and making sure everything is ready for upcoming club activities and events. It’s a great opportunity to reconnect after the winter, lend a hand, and start the season with a strong sense of teamwork and community. We’ll get started at the field at 10:00 am
The Annual Membership Meeting is held each year at the Scio Township Hall, bringing our club community together to elect board officers for the upcoming term and hear important updates on club operations, field maintenance, upcoming events, youth programs, and other key activities. This gathering gives members the opportunity to stay informed, ask questions, offer ideas, and take an active role in shaping the direction of the club for the year ahead. The meeting begins at 2:00 pm.
We know it's cold, but bundle up, bring your planes, and join us for a mid-winter fly.
This marks the end of the season for most outdoor club activities. Members are welcome to continue to fly as the weather permits.
It's time for our annual night fly! We'll gather before dark and fly into the night. Bring your lighted airplanes!
It's National Aviation Day and we'll celebrate with our annual picnic. Join us for hot dogs and hamburgers, a raffle with great prizes, and lots of flying. Please bring a dish to pass.
